The CA-100F/ALK is packed with three unique and proprietary filtration technologies.
FIRST we add our Aquaspace Compound which is a special blend of carbonaceous materials designed to remove the widest range of chemical contaminants. It is a water treatment compound developed using NASA Filtration Technology and is charge modified to increase the potential of the carbon. Aquaspace Water Systems will also retain beneficial dissolved minerals such as Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium that may be found in water and are essential for good health.
The Aquaspace Compound filters out unwanted organic and inorganic chemicals and doesn’t lower the pH value of the water. It has been tested and certified by the National Testing Laboratories according to ANSI/NSF Standards to reduce:

SECOND we add our special Heavy Metal Reduction Compound to reduce Fluoride from municipal water facilities by up to 95% to safe, drinkable levels as well as unwanted heavy metals such as:
- Chromium 6
THIRD we add our patented Ion™ Compound to raise the pH value of the filtered water. The Ion™ technology will:
- Raise the pH to a value of 9.0 (+ or - 0.5)
- Lower the Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) of the water by -500 millivolts
- Add Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium
- Improve taste
This is the optimum pH value for water and will give you the benefits of anti-oxidant alkaline water and essential minerals in every glass! It is recommended to drink 5 glasses of Alkaline Water (pH between 9-10) spread out throughout the day, but just not before or with meals.
This simple container is maintenance free and will give you 125 gallons of filtered alkaline water. It should be replaced every 125 gallons or 3 months, whichever occurs first.
Note: When testing the pH of Alkaline Water please use either a calibrated electronic pH test meter or the Aqua ION™ pH Test Kit. The use of pH test strips are unreliable and most often produce inaccurate results!

In addition, Aquaspace removes unpleasant colors, tastes, odors, sediment and turbidity. It does not remove beneficial dissolved minerals that are essential for good health.
The Fluoride & Heavy Metal Reduction Compound will reduce the fluoride added by municipalities to undetectable levels. This media will also continue to reduce inorganic heavy metals (such as lead, arsenic, mercury, and chromium six, etc.).
The Ion™ Compound has been designed to raise the filtered water’s pH to a value of 9.0 (+ or -0.5). This media will also lowers the Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) of the water by -500 mill volts! Less ORP means less oxidizing.
