Microbial Reduction

Microbial Reduction is essential for well water. Microbiological impurities like bacteria and cysts can be present in your well water or enter unexpectedly. An Aquaspace Microbial Cartridge is your best defense against dangerous contaminants and suspect well water. While we highly recommend getting your well water tested, the absolute best product we can offer for well water would be one of our AQUARIUS TRIPLE PLUS Sink Units (either countertop or under-the-sink). Microbial Reduction is available only in our sink units, and we have two options for cartridges:

  • Microbial Ceramic Cartridge
  • Microbial NanoCeram® Cartridge 

Cartridge Efficiency

The Ceramic cartridge will remove most microbiological impurities by 99.9% as well as serve as a pre-sediment filter for sink units. This cartridge is cleanable, rated at 0.5 micron, and will last for 1 year, and removes:

  • Bacteria
  • Parasites
  • E-coli
  • Cysts
  • Fungi
  • Cryptosporidium

The NanoCeram® filter incorporating Powdered Activated Carbon and Agion® silver-impregnated zeolite technology. The NanoCeram cartridge is rated at 0.2 micron and has the ability to remove sub-micron particulates as well as microbiological impurities by 99.9%. The cartridge will last for 12 months and removes:

  • Bacteria
  • Parasites
  • E-coli
  • Cysts
  • Fungi
  • Cryptosporidium
  • Viruses (NanoCeram only)
  • Endotoxins (NanoCeram only)
  • Polysaccharides (NanoCeram only)
  • Colloids (NanoCeram only)
