The AP-100-4N1 is highly recommended with installation of any Fluoride Reduction or Aquaspace Whole House Systems as a POLISHING FILTER to be installed after the PO-400A, PO-400F, PO-500A, PO-500F.

The Post Filtration will capture the sediment particles that are not effectively rinsed out due to the backwash flow rate restrictions of the Automatic Backwash design. Additionally the 4N1 cartridge will provide a 1 micron filtration which is what is required in mitigating any parasites or cysts that may have been in the water supply!

The AP-100-4N1 uses our special 4 in 1-Micron Multi-Sectional Sediment Cartridge that has four stages of filtration. It is a Post-Sediment (polishing filter) and serves to prevent any sediment, carbon fines, parasites, or cysts from making their way into your household plumbing.

The AP-100-4N1 should be installed with a 3-valve bypass and unions in a location where the unit can be easily removed for servicing. Install the VIH clear housing after the whole house tank and in a location for easy replacement of the sediment cartridge. The sediment cartridge should be replaced every 12-months, or whenever you observe a pressure drop in your water.

The AP-100-4N1 is available in either a clear or solid blue housing. The solid blue housing is intended for outdoor use but may also be used indoors when strong U/V rays are present. For example, many indoor fluorescent lights have U/V rays. When in doubt, it's best to go with the solid blue unit.

The replacement filter is: APR-4N1.

This specially designed sediment filter is graduated from 30-15-5-1 microns and will outlast a standard 5-micron cartridge typically used for whole home sediment filtration. The 1-micron cartridge will also help guard against common parasites and cysts.

Efficiency	The 4-N-1 is a 1-micron sediment cartridge that has four stages of filtration. Each stage of the cartridge filters a unique size of sediment. Because the 4-N-1 is multi sectional and uses gradual filtration, it lasts longer than a single section cartridge. It does not remove beneficial dissolved minerals that are essential for good health.
Filter Section	The 1-Micron Multi Sectional 9 ¾ Sediment Cartridge: APR-4N1 should be replaced every 12 months. A significant change in water flow indicates that the cartridge may soon need to be replaced.
Guarantee	One full year for material and workmanship. Due to varying water quality, the filter section is not covered under warranty. Maintenance free.
