A Few Important Notes

To get the most out of your Survivor Water Bottle, it’s important to use it as intended. The Survivor is designed for use with fresh water only – it's not suitable for saltwater, brackish water, or hot liquids. When collecting water from natural sources like streams or lakes, try to avoid areas with visible sediment or debris, as these can clog the filter and reduce its lifespan.

How to Use the Survivor

The Survivor Water Filter is easy to use and easy to set up. There are 5 simple steps to using your Survivor for the first time:

  1. Fill the bottle completely with cold tap water and squeeze all the water through
  2. Repeat step 1.
  3. Fill the bottle completely for a third time and let the filter soak for 5 minutes.
  4. After 5 minutes, squeeze the water through once more.
  5. That’s it! Your filter is ready to be used.

When it comes to clean drinking water, not all filtration methods offer the same level of protection. UV lights work by damaging the DNA of harmful microorganisms, making them unable to reproduce or cause illness. They’re highly effective for microbial disinfection but do not remove chemicals or physical particles from the water.
