| Emergency Filter | In case of a disruption in your municipal water supply due to an earthquake, hurricane, etc. Your Carafe® Aquaspace Water filter can be used as an emergency purifying filter by first pre-treating the suspect water with household bleach, then pouring the water thru the filter. The steps are as follows: place the water in a container and add approximately 1 cap full of chlorine bleach per gallon of water, allow water to stand for a MINIMUM of 15 minutes, then pour through the Carafe® Water Filter to remove the excess chlorine. Carafe Water Filter cannot be used with salt or brackish water. |
